The food quantities listed at right are monthly amounts.

Each WIC food packages is different so it can meet the nutritional needs of each individual or family. If you participate in the WIC program you will receive vouchers or checks on a monthly basis. The vouchers can then be taken to local grocery stores and used to pay for your WIC-approved foods.

Infant formula information

Although the most beneficial and recommended method of feeding your baby is breastfeeding, WIC does provide formula for infants. Below are some of the formulas you may receive:

Enfamil Lipil with Iron: For the routine feeding of full term, healthy infants and for sick infants who do not have special requirements.

Enfamil ProSobee Lipil: Oral feeding for infants with an allergy or sensitivity to cow's milk. For infants with disorders for which lactose should be avoided including lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance and galactosemia.

Enfamil Lactofree Lipil: For infants up to one year with lactose intolerance or lactase deficiency.

Exclusively Breastfeeding Women

(7) 12-ounce cans of juice
3 pounds of cheese
18 ounces of peanut butter
1 pound of beans
26 ounces of tuna
2 pounds of carrots
5 1/2 gallons of low fat milk

Pregnant and Partially Breastfeeding Women

Postpartum Women

(4) 12-ounces cans of juice

4 1/2 gallons of low fat milk

Children 1 - 2 years

28 ounces of cereal

2 pounds of cheese
4 gallons of whole milk

Children over 2 years of age
