
NCHD is available to attend health fairs within our six-county region to include Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties. We offer the following services or educational materials:
Family Planning
Information available on yearly exams, birth control methods and sexually transmitted diseases. Information is aimed at all women to encourage good health.
Food Safety
Information is available on the prevention of food borne illness and tips on food preparation, refrigeration and cooking.
Immunizations
Immunizations are available. A separate space for privacy is needed and a fee will be charged for each shot. Information is available for child and adult vaccines including Hepatitis A and B, varicella (chicken pox), tetanus, influenza (in season), and combination vaccines.
Methamphetamine Education
Informational materials on the use and manufacturing of methamphetamine in northeast Colorado; physiological and environmental hazards the drug poses, information is appropriate for all ages.
Nurse-Family Partnership Program
Informational materials available. This program is aimed at first-time mothers and their children. It is a home visitation program that strives to improve the health and social functioning of low-income families.
Tobacco Use and Prevention
Informational materials on tobacco facts and cessation tools, appropriate for all ages.
Water Testing
Information available on bacterial water testing performed at NCHD as well as basic drinking water testing and guidelines for testing private wells.
West Nile Virus
Informational materials on West Nile virus in northeast Colorado and the U.S.; educational materials on the use of DEET and other insect repellents, larvicide, horse vaccinations as well as general prevention tips for residents. Information is appropriate for all ages.
WIC
Informational materials on our Women, Infants and Children program, including eligibility guidelines and nutrition counseling.
