Who can currently receive H1N1 vaccine?

Beginning the week of December 7, NCHD will expand their H1N1 vaccination efforts to include ALL RESIDENTS:

In order to move through large walk-in clinics faster, please print and fill out the appropriate form below. If you don't have these forms filled out when you arrive you will need to fill them out before you get your vaccination.

*Chronic medical conditions can make a person more likely to have more severe cases of flu.  The conditions include lung problems like COPD, emphysema, asthma, lung transplants; heart problems (except for high blood pressure), kidney problems, liver problems, problems with the brain and/or nerves, muscle problems, blood problems, diabetes, or a decreased immune system either caused by medications or HIV/AIDS.

  • Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way
  • Stay home if you are sick

Confirmed Hospitalized Influenza Cases in Northeast Colorado

**The only cases of influenza that are reportable to public health are those that are hospitalized, therefore, the above numbers will reflect only those individuals that were hospitalized with symptoms and confirmed through laboratory testing to have influenza. Since non-hospitalized cases, which make up the majority of all influenza illness, are not reportable, the above numbers are not a true reflection of the amount of influenza that is present in our communities. In addition, during the H1N1 pandemic, laboratory resources are expected to be overwhelmed, so not all confirmed influenza cases will be subtyped as being either seasonal influenza or H1N1 influenza. Therefore the above numbers are a reflection of all types of hospitalized influenza cases in northeast Colorado.
